Fantasy — a deliberately counterintuitive notion

— which in this instance could be described as a

necessary requirement to be alive to this world, and

in our organizations. Because times are dif ficult,

because carefreeness is no longer warranted,

because everything is wrapped in a shroud of

uncertainty, because we feel lost in a complex world,

that is precisely why we absolutely and urgently

need to seize reality whole, however horrible and

unsatisfying it may be, with a light and cheery heart.

With fantasy. After all, most of us are not brain

surgeons, so let’s dial down the drama and get down

to business, in environments alive with eagerness!
