Gilles Belley

Gilles Belley is an industrial designer and graduated from ENSCI – Les Ateliers in 2001. After several years of collaboration with Éric Benqué and a mission with Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, he started his own business in 2006. He was awarded the Grand Prix de la création de la Ville de Paris, design section, in 2008. Gilles Belley’s work explores the tensions and convergences between discursive logic (the project’s purpose), technical logic (the project’s implementation), and gestural and spatial logic (the project’s use). Considering that projects are always part of complex systems, Gilles Belley uses the production of images as a vector of plastic thought that allows him to escape from analytical formatting: the image as a fuzzy method.
