Our CSR approach is a global approach to all the brands of the Cider Group: we have chosen to be all pilots of the CSR approach.

We are continuously and pragmatically improving our approach with all our employees, customers and suppliers.

Thanks to them, we are seeking to make progress in limiting our environmental impact and promoting inclusion, well-being and quality of life at work.

2.1 LIMITING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

OUR ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION GUARANTEES OUR ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Cider Group includes respect for the environment in the rules that govern its main activities.

As an eco-responsible company, we take numerous initiatives to reduce the impact of our activities on the environment.

For example:

  • We have sorting bins on our premises for household kitchen waste, for WEEE*, for glass, paper, cardboard and plastic.
  • We are digitising our processes with the aim of going paperless within 5 years with the Zeendoc platform.
  • We practice a systematic approach to reusing materials.
  • We are integrating citizen actions into our internal events, such as the collection of waste on the beach of the Giens peninsula with the Explore and Preserve collective.
    *Waste electrical and electronic equipment.

2.2 LIMITING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

WOOD, AN ESSENTIAL RAW MATERIAL THAT WE MUST ALL PRESERVE

For several years now, we have been working hard on the supply of wood, the main material used in our products.

  • We have chosen to obtain certification for our publishing activity.

  • We also promote the reuse of wood by offering variants with wood from the Circular Economy.
  • For our distribution products, we favour suppliers who are certified or whose products are certifiable. We also favour suppliers who favour the re-use of wood from the Circular Economy, whether for new furniture, second-hand furniture or of course second-hand furniture.
  • In line with our activity, we also chose to participate financially in two reforestation projects in France in partnership with Reforest Action, one in Seine Maritime at Saint-Aubin-Routot and the other in Aube, at Chamesnil.

3.1 PROMOTE THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

A RESPECTFUL AND 100% ITALIAN PRODUCTION

  • Durability of our products for 10 years (tertiary range), 5 years (image range).
  • Sorting and collection of waste on the production sites and on the building sites (within our offices) for reuse, recovery or recycling.

A DESIGN THAT PROMOTES SUSTAINABILITY

  • Right number of components,
  • Modularity: maximum number of interchangeable and reusable parts
  • Recyclable, resistant and easy to maintain materials.

3.2 PROMOTE THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

OPTIMIZED LOGISTICS TO A LIMITED IMPACT

  • Deliveries mainly from factories in Italy to the customer to limit journeys and carbon footprint.
  • Reduced packaging for deliveries.

4 GETTING RECOGNITION FOR OUR APPROACH

In the Cider Group, we are proud of our commitments and our approach, so we chose to be certified ISO 9001 in 2006 and ISO 14001 in 2008. (Certification number – No. A 1017-9001-14001)

In 2024, with a score of 71/100, obtained by 5% of companies evaluated, we were awarded the SILVER medal by Ecovadis for our CSR performance. By way of comparison, the industry average score is 38/100.

OUR AMBITIONS

Because we can always progress, our CSR strategy is designed for the long term.

We have several objectives for 2024, the main ones being

  • Obtain Bcorp certification by first assessing the social, societal and environmental impact of our operations and business model against a benchmark developed by B Lab.
  • Measuring our impact more precisely in order to act in an even more targeted manner.
  • Carry out a carbon footprint assessment on the entire scope of our activity.
  • Carry out a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) on one or more of our publishing products.
  • Make our economic model even more virtuous and circular by proposing an e-commerce offer.
